Designed for HAY by Erwan Bouroullec, the Traverse Lounge Bench is part of an outdoor furniture collection designed to naturally blend in wherever it is placed. Comprising a die-cast aluminium frame with slatted seat in heat-treated ash, the bench combines a robust construction with an inviting expression that naturally patinates to make it more beautiful over time. With its well-balanced aesthetics and ergonomic design, the Traverse Lounge Bench can be used with other Traverse furniture for relaxing and socialising in a wide range of private and public spaces. Available with or without armrests.

About the Designer

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting Bouroullec Studio with his brother. Together the design duo has transformed the design industry, offering new perspectives of materiality and purpose with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture, and artworks. Erwan uses a technically minded approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on multifaceted projects. For HAY, he has designed the Traverse Collection.
