Inspired by the uncluttered aesthetics of classic Shaker furniture, French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec designed the Passerelle High Table – an updated interpretation sharing the same simplicity and quality in a more contemporary context. With a well-balanced, flat-packed construction, the tabletop features solid wooden edges and top surface in veneer or linoleum, with the core made of Lisocore® – an advanced, high-quality material that offers great strength yet is extremely light and easy to move around. The table frame is equally robust and functional, with solid wooden legs and aluminium and steel crossbar that strengthen and stabilise the table. The Passerelle High Table’s variety of material, colour, and size options amplify its multifunctional quality, making it equally suitable for using as a desk or work area in large offices or workspaces, as well as in a home office environment.

About the Designer

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec the Paris-based design brothers from Brittany have been working together since 1998. Ronan is a graduate of the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting their own studio.They have transformed the design industry and offered new perspectives of materiality and purpose. For HAY, they have designed the Palissade Collection, Balcony Collection, CPH Collection, Can Collection, Passerelle Collection, Élémentaire Chair and Pier System.
